In the eyes of some, the Jaguar F-TYPE is the most beautiful car currently on the market. It is indeed a sports car that appeals purely to emotion, because, in fact, at the price at which it is selling, it would be much more sensible to turn to a Porsche 911 or, even, to models of general brands such as the Toyota GR Supra or the Ford Mustang. Whatever one thinks, the existence of the F-TYPE is something of a necessity for Jaguar and for car enthusiasts. Alas! All good things have an end. Jaguar will end production of its sports car in 2024.
The news has been confirmed by Jaguar Land Rover. There would be only two years of marketing left for the F-TYPE. Then, we do not yet know if the manufacturer plans to replace it with another model. If so, it will probably be an electrical product.
The 2024 model year will therefore be its last year on the market, and Jaguar will make sure to make a lot of noise before it leaves us. A commemorative edition, offered on both the coupe and convertible side, will be added to the range to mark 75 years of Jaguar. However, although this model has been confirmed for the European market, it is not yet certain that it will pass on this side of the Atlantic. We could, however, expect an ultra-powerful final model produced in very limited quantities.
If the F-TYPE interests you, know that it remains available from the manufacturer. Although the model’s offer was recently streamlined to offer only 444 and 575 horsepower V8 engines, the F-TYPE remains a highly pleasant sports car to drive, both in coupe and convertible, and whose experience behind the wheel surpasses his technical abilities.
Because yes, there are German cars that are better done, but very few sports cars know how to raise the level of adrenaline like a Jaguar F-TYPE. This one will definitely be missed!
