The title of most powerful SUV in the world will have been short-lived for the DBX 707. The Purosangue, the first utility vehicle developed by Ferrari, claims 715 hp using its 6.5 L V12 engine. this more imposing cavalry, the Ferrari will not be faster than the Aston Martin when the lights turn green. English enjoys more torque. On the other hand, these two rivals have one thing in common: they were born from a blank page in terms of the chassis. Where they differ though: the price. Ferrari is not counting on the Purosangue to double its production and intends to make it a highly exclusive product. The first deliveries of the Purosangue will start from the third quarter of 2023.

The escalation continues at Lamborghini, which recently presented a Performante version (read Italian-style performance), but it cannot claim the title of the most powerful SUV in the world. With 657 hp under its right foot, it takes a few tenths more than the Aston Martin to reach 100 km/h after a standing start. But this variation should not be judged primarily on pure performance. Let us rather welcome the slimming cure that it has imposed on itself (47 kg less) and the more advanced sophistication of its ground connections to guarantee it better motor skills, even off the beaten track.

Compared to the aforementioned models, the Porsche Cayenne GT Turbo represents a real bargain. As fast as the Aston Martin, offering better connectivity (with the exception of Android Auto users) and a less scattered dealer network, the Porsche does not only have qualities. Its catalog of options is as voluminous and expensive as that of Aston Martin, its suspension collects the deformations of the road more harshly and the German, let’s face it, does not have the same exclusive cachet as the English.
