Lamborghini has broken its sales records for its first half of 2023

Rising vehicle prices haven’t stopped exotic car buyers from getting their dream automobile. Lamborghini broke its own sales records for the 1^er half of 2023. The company, which has only two active models in its range, still saw an increase in sales of 32.1% overall.

The V10 engine

Lamborghini shipped 5,341 cars between January and June 2023, which represents an increase of 4.9% compared to the same period last year. More than 2,285 cars have been delivered in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; in North America, 1,857 vehicles were delivered. Asia-Pacific therefore comes third with 1,199 cars, which is lower than Lamborghini’s sales in the United States. Indeed, our neighbors to the south have recorded 1,625 sales since the start of the year, making it the biggest market for the brand.

Two new models

The Lamborghini Urus and Huracán order book is complete for the next year. The manufacturer claims that the entire production of the two vehicles is sold. We learned at the start of the year that these two models will retire in the second half of 2024. The exotic SUV will nevertheless return in 2024, but as a plug-in hybrid SUV. As for the Huracán, it will disappear for good and make way for a successor powered by a turbocharged V8 engine.

In addition to its next two vehicles, Lamborghini has confirmed that the Revuelto, the replacement for the Aventador, will arrive in 2024. This car equipped with a V12 engine promises up to 1,001 horsepower and features an electric motor. According to Lamborghini, the popularity of the product is already well established, the manufacturer no longer being able to take orders before 2025 because its backlog is so full.

It is especially in 2028 that real changes will be expected. The manufacturer of Italian origin intends to prepare a 4^e road vehicle. This will also be the brand’s first electric product and should have the shape of a grand touring car (GT) which would be positioned between the supercars and Urus.

Lamborghini celebrates its 60^e anniversary in 2023, a year of celebration given that the company sees its turnover increase by 6.7% during the first 6 of the year. It remains to discover the next generation of the Urus to determine if the manufacturer is indeed on a promising streak.
