Here is the final edition of the 2024 Jaguar F-TYPE before its departure
Exactly a year ago, we learned that the Jaguar F-TYPE would experience its turn of grace in 2024. The British manufacturer suggested that the company would take a major electric shift in the coming years and would thus no longer leave room for a 2-door coupe with large thermal displacement. To say goodbye to this car, the manufacturer will offer a very limited edition nicknamed ZP Edition which will feature, for one last time, a supercharged V8 engine.
Aesthetic retouching
There Jaguar F-TYPE ZP Edition 2024 will be offered in coupe and convertible versions. They will be aesthetically modified to give them a unique style, according to Jaguar. First, the manufacturer corroborates that two tones exclusive to the ZP will be offered, namely Oulton Blue Gloss and Crystal Gray Gloss. Jaguar confirms that these colors were never deployed on the F-TYPE and are intended as a nod to the brand’s past, as they are the same ones that were used on the classic Jaguar E-Type.
The manufacturer adds another touch of history to the car by painting two milky circles on the ZP’s doors, regardless of the color chosen. These circles, reproduced by hand, honor the E-Type racing cars that competed in 1961 after the car’s launch. In addition to the touches of white in the doors, Jaguar modifies the aesthetics of the front grille in the same color. Every F-TYPE ZP will have 20-inch black wheels inside.
Two different interior tones will be offered. By choosing the Oulton Blue Gloss color, the interior of the car will be flooded with red and black. The ZP Crystal Gray Gloss will come with a combo of blue and black. In addition to the colors, the cockpit will be adorned with several aesthetic touches, including badges recalling the uniqueness of the model in the door sills, in the dashboard and at the bottom of the exterior wings.
Goodbye supercharged V8
The mechanics of this special edition are actually borrowed from the F-TYPE R P575. This therefore means that the 5-liter supercharged V8 engine will operate under the hood of the ZP. This develops 575 horsepower and produces 516 pound-feet of torque and promises acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers/hour in 3.7 seconds. This power is sent to all 4 wheels of the vehicle through an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Jaguar F-TYPE ZP Edition should be able to reach a top speed of 300 kilometers/hour, according to the manufacturer. A special plate which identifies the production number will also be integrated into the vehicle to determine in which example you are sitting on board. Moreover, Jaguar confirms that it will only produce 150 examples, but it is impossible to know how many will be introduced in Canada. The price is still not known at the time of writing, but the Jaguar F-TYPE ZP Edition will indeed be the last sports Jaguar solely with a combustion engine to be produced.
