Audi offers a 2e aesthetic refresh to its popular mid-size SUV Q7. Initially launched in 2016 on the Canadian market, it was substantially revised in 2020, and now it is undergoing the treatment for 2025, but more lightly.
Just aesthetics
Most of the modifications appear in terms of the aesthetics of the vehicle. We completely change the front end for a much sportier approach. The framing of the “Space Frame” grille is wider, and the interior trim is furnished with larger appliques. Depending on whether you opt for the Q7 or the SQ7, there is a variation. The bumpers are also completely redesigned.
The optical units are entitled to special treatment with the integration of laser matrix technology which activates at 70 kilometers/hour or more. Just like in the most recent Audi products, the owner can play with 4 different lighting themes on the exterior, both in the headlights and in the rear lights. The lights go even further in terms of technology with lighting that uses OLED (Organic Light Emiting Diode) technology. Audi continues to develop its own visual signature with welcome and departure lighting. In terms of rim, depending on whether you opt for the Q7 or the SQ7, the size will change from 19 to 22 inches.
Almost the status quo
In the passenger compartment, Audi revisits the equipment and materials used for the interior trim. Under the hood, although it has not yet been confirmed for North America, it seems that the base version 45 with its 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder will not be renewed. That leaves us with the 55 model with its 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that develops some 335 horsepower and produces 369 pound-feet of torque.
The SQ7 is also renewed with its turbocharged V8 4 with a power of 500 horsepower and a torque of 568 pound-feet. It continues to offer, as an option, the Dynamic Plus package which adds electric motors to the rear differential for even sportier driving. For the rest, the Q7 and SQ7 remain the same. Prices will be revealed closer to the Canadian distribution date of the models.
