Jeep says goodbye to the V8-powered Wrangler 392 with a Final Edition version

The Jeep Wrangler 392 is the most powerful Jeep never produced. It has a 6.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that develops 470 horsepower and produces 417 pound-feet of torque. It is in fact the same mechanism that was found under the hood of Dodge Charger and Challenger 392 Scat Pack. This Wrangler could accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds.

With the disappearance of the 6.2-liter V8 from the Challenger and Charger, we expected the same thing aboard the Wrangler. It is now official since Stellantis has just announced the marketing of a Final Edition of the model, it will be offered in limited quantity, i.e. 3,700 copies sold worldwide, including 300 for Canada.

Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition

It also offers as standard the Xtreme 35 package including 17-inch bronze-finish wheels on which are mounted 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires.

Standard exterior equipment on the Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition includes:

• A factory-installed Warn winch with a capacity of 8,000 pounds;

• Grille grille protection;

• Side protections;

• A raised suspension which increases crossing capacity as well as ground clearance.

“To celebrate the existence of this powerhouse, we’re celebrating the departure of the 392-powered Wrangler in style with this special Final Edition, limited to just 3,700 units worldwide. said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand – North America.

A base price above $125,000

Inside, there are 12-way power-adjustable performance seats covered in black Nappa leather. We notice the gold Mayan stitching everywhere, exclusive to the model. A plate displays the vehicle’s serial number.

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392 Rubicon Final Edition will have a base price of $127,215, excluding freight and PDI. Production will begin on 2e
quarter of 2024 at the Toledo, Ohio, assembly plant.

Our opinion

This is certainly another vehicle that could well become a collector’s item in the future. We may discover some in 20 years at the bottom of a barn with the protective films on the seats!
