Deliveries stopped, dangerous accelerator problem appears to affect Tesla Cybertruck
Despite a long gestation, it seems that the Tesla Cybertruck presents some design problems. The newest on the list is a part of the accelerator that comes loose from the crankset and can get stuck. In certain positions, the flighty part can press on the accelerator and force a sharp acceleration.
Obviously, with a vehicle that can go from 0 to 100 kilometers/hour in less than 3 seconds, this situation can quickly become very dangerous for the occupants and people nearby. To put an end to this violent momentum, simply activate the brake pedal. However, as soon as the pressure is released, the Cybertruck can resume full speed. Clearly, this is an extremely dangerous situation.
Elon Musk is silent
For the moment, American government authorities do not yet appear to have opened an investigation into this issue which could potentially lead to a recall. Tesla, nor Elon Musk, has commented on this story.
Cancellation of deliveries
Across the United States, consumers who were due to receive their Cybertruck shortly have been notified that delivery has been postponed. Customers have received this communication from their point of service: “We have just been informed of an unexpected delay in preparing your vehicle. We need to cancel your appointment and we will contact you when we can reschedule. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to deliver your Cybertruck to you shortly. »
Faithful to its law of silence, the manufacturer does not provide details or reasons for this additional delay. Some people familiar with the problem at Tesla suggest that the accelerator situation is the cause. As Tesla does not have a communications department, it is impossible for us to contact them for more information.
