In order to harmonize the Kia Telluride to the new image of Kia, the manufacturer brings him some subtle updates for the model year 2022. We note the new badge, but also improvements in the chapter of the interior and the offer of variations.
It must be admitted that the Telluride turned out to be a home run for Kia. Since its arrival on the market in 2019, the manufacturer has already sold more than 140,000 copies in Canada and the United States. In addition to these outstanding sales performance, this is a mid-size SUV that raises the bar in the category in every way.
So that it can continue to sell well, Kia takes the opportunity to make it even more attractive in the eyes of consumers. In addition to the new badge, the model receives a slightly redesigned front end through a new bumper and a now all-black grille.
The biggest changes have mostly been made to the interior. A new steering wheel and new materials give it a slightly richer look. There are also new color combinations. All versions now come standard with intelligent cruise control that uses data from the navigation system to anticipate a reduction in speed as needed.
Nothing changes under the hood. The Telluride is still powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Kia Canada has not yet confirmed pricing for the Telluride 2022, but on the American market side, we are seeing a price increase that varies between US $ 200 and US $ 600 depending on the trim.
