Bargain price for the Toyota Supra from “Fast and Furious” at $ 550,000

After years of questioning, we finally know how much the mythical is worth Toyota Supra 1994 driven by the late Paul Walker in the “Fast and Furious” series: not more than $ 550,000.

If there is one car that has caught the attention of Japanese street racing and sports fans, it is the Toyota supra who starred in the first two films of the “Fast and Furious” series. It is in large part thanks to this film that the value of certain Japanese cars has started to climb in recent years.

It was this Sunday, June 20, that auctioneer Barrett-Jackson put the car under the hammer in Las Vegas. Many expected this Supra driven by the late Paul Walker to pass the million dollar mark. Against all expectations, it seems that fans of “Fast and Dangerous” are more inclined to spend on modifications on their car than on a collector’s item. This unique 1994 Toyota Supra sold for only $ 550,000. Therefore, this is the most rated Supra in the world.

It is certainly a significant amount, but, considering its history, it is not much. After all, this Supra comes with two things that usually make a vehicle extremely valuable: it has starred in iconic movies, and, sadly, its main driver has passed away.

This Supra was originally designed by preparer The Shark Shop in California for the purposes of the film. Recognizable among all, it adopts the orange “nuclear gladiator” and decals designed by Troy Lee Design. As was the fashion in the early 2000s, there are more aggressive bumpers and, above all, an APR fin of unnecessarily large size. As for the rims, we recognize the 19-inch Racing Hart M5.

Under the hood, this Supra remains almost original, a rare occurrence. The engine is the 3.0-liter 2JZ-GTE inline-6 powered by twin turbochargers. Good for 320 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque, it’s mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission only and not a manual as the movie suggests.

The name of the buyer is not known, but we can hope that a museum like the Peterson in Los Angeles has acquired it. He already has a massive collection of movie cars, and this addition is sure to attract crowds and fans of the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
