The Ford Bronco is only just starting to roll on our roads, and here is Jeep already reacting, because even a Wrangler Rubicon can’t stand up to the Bronco Sasquatch when it comes to equipment. Everything just changed with the new set xTreme Recon of Jeep.
Offered exclusively on Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4-door (Unlimited) powered by the 3.6-liter V6 or the 6.4-liter V8 392, the package xTreme Recon adds a host of components that make a Rubicon even beefier.
For the modest sum of $ 3,995, Jeep installs you 35-inch BF Goodrich K02 off-road tires, beadlock type rims to prevent it from separating from the tire, raises ground clearance by 38.1 millimeters and offers a transmission ratio of 4.56: 1. Approach and departure angles have also been revised, appearing at 47.4 and 40.4 degrees, respectively.
Later in the schedule, Jeep will also add the option of a new 4.88: 1 transmission ratio for the Wrangler Rubicon equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission. This will allow it to achieve a high gear ratio (crawl ratio) of 100: 1. Remember that that of the Ford Bronco equipped with the 7-speed manual transmission is 94.8: 1. The Jeep Wrangler xTreme Recon assembly Rubicon will be offered in dealerships nationwide from August 2021.
