2022 GMC Sierra will be able to tow Autonomous Super Cruise

In preparation for the unveiling of updates to the GMC Sierra 2022, the manufacturer takes the opportunity to publish a short video of the camouflaged prototype towing in autonomous driving mode Super Cruise. This option will be one of the many improvements that GMC plans to inject at Sierra.

Criticized for its design and interior, the GMC Sierra is already undergoing a major update barely two years after its launch. Among the changes, we will note a much more unique look (according to GMC’s words) and a raised interior.

The evolution of this technology can be seen in its ability to allow a vehicle to tow a trailer whose weight meets the manufacturer’s recommendations. Even that, during towing, Super Cruise retains its autonomous lane change functionality which is activated by means of the turn signal lever.

The Sierra will even be able to change lanes automatically without the involvement of the driver. However, this feature will not be available during towing.

More information on the next GMC Sierra and its mechanical twin, the Chevrolet Silverado 2022, will be sent to us in the coming weeks. Continue to follow RPM for all the details.
