Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept, an even more upscale interior

Located in Detroit, Shinola is a boutique specializing in the sale of items made with fine, high-end leathers. The firm recently partnered with Lincoln in order to design a concept vehicle that shows what a marriage between the two luxury brands could look like.

Lincoln therefore unveiled the Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept, a vehicle whose interior has been enhanced by the firm Shinola. It was during a visit to the Shinola showroom in Detroit that the stylists at Lincoln decided to explore what the philosophy behind the various Shinola leather accessories integrated into a vehicle might give them.

According to the builder, people pay great attention to accessories that represent their lifestyle, and the opportunity was interesting to create a marriage of the two. The result gives the Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept, a vehicle that benefits from some exterior modifications, but whose interior benefits from the main changes.

The soft white exterior incorporating blue accents of the Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept is inspired by the face of Shinola mother-of-pearl watches. The copper accents are inspired by the copper-plated structure that fixes the saddle of Shinola bikes. They give off a pinkish hue which provides an additional luxury effect.

As one can imagine, we find on board several elements covered with fine leathers including stitching enhancing their appearance. According to Lincoln, the soft touch appearance and distinctive scent of Whiskey Shinola leather appeals to the most refined senses. The seats are cream suede and complement the stitching beautifully.

No details on the mechanical side, but it’s a safe bet that Lincoln has retained the hybrid engine found under the hood of the Grand Touring version; this engine is composed of the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 and an electric motor, the whole developing 494 horsepower in total.

The Lincoln Aviator Shinola concept will be on display at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month.

The 2021 Lincoln Aviator is sold in Canada at a base price of $ 71,000 including freight and delivery charges.
