The downsides of Japanese cars are mostly they never feel fantastic. The seats are not that great, you don’t feel fantastic inside one. But they are very good, very reliable, have low mileage (except Toyota). They look nice but don’t age that well, meaning look at a 10 year old Toyota and it does not look good.
