Already an update for the Kia Carnival?

Indeed, South Korean brands are not idle. Very soon after the release of a new model, the mid-term update is already planned. It is this rapid evolution that allows South Korean products to constantly remain relevant in a constantly evolving industry. It is therefore in no way surprising to already hear about an update for the Kia Carnival, a model sold here for only 2 years.

Traditionally, the grille, the headlights, the passenger compartment

Kia has yet to share anything about the updated Carnival, but while filming a commercial on the streets of Seoul, the minivan was reportedly captured by the motorjason Instagram account on which the images you see on the screen have been published.

This is a classic update that slightly affects the styling of the vehicle and adds some new features. In the images captured, we can also see the new grille and T-shaped headlights found on the Seltos. This is the manufacturer’s new stylistic signature. And just like its little brother, the Carnival also inherits a rear section that incorporates large LED lights with two vertical lights at their end.

New hybrid engine?

According to what the media reported Motor1 last September after capturing photos of a camouflaged prototype of the new Carnival, the changes will not see the light of day until the 2025 model year, at least. According to our sources, Kia will present it to the South Korean market by the end of this year, while our version will only be presented at the beginning of next year.

In addition to a slight change in style, we can expect even more technology on board through two new 12-inch screens, head-up display and a fingerprint reader, among others. A hybrid engine would also be in the plans, essentially the same as that of the Sportage hybrid. This would therefore be composed of a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor, for a total combined power of 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
