Audi | The RS 6 Avant GT pushes the limits of the family car

A magnificent antithesis that combines the practicality of a family car with the performance of a fairly serious sports car, the Audi RS 6 Avant gains a new, very limited edition livery paying homage to a racing car from the 1980s.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT brings the wagon out of its visual restraint with a dress inspired by the 1989 Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO, a 710 hp monster that dominated the American IMSA championship. The Audi Sport colors translate this desire for memory at first glance.

The all-wheel drive is also optimized to reduce understeer on this 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant GT and carbon-ceramic brakes are bolted to it.

But beyond the presentation, designed with a team of apprentice craftsmen over six months and which breaks with the restraint often associated with the Ingolstadt manufacturer, there is tangible material. Its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 remains at 621 hp, but powers a car that is likely lighter thanks to the addition of a carbon fiber hood and fenders. The all-wheel drive is also optimized to reduce understeer and carbon-ceramic brakes are bolted to it.

The engineers also added coilover shock absorbers (commonly called coilovers) which lower the car by 10 mm for even sharper handling.

The Audi RS 6 will be limited to 660 examples, of which only 6 will be sold in Canada, Audi Canada confirmed to us. Undoubtedly a collector's item in the making whose price has not yet been set.
