Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 GT3.R: A racing car for consumers

Family Chevrolet Corvette C8 continues to grow. Shortly after unveiling the high-performance Z06, Chevrolet proceeds to the next chapter of the model. it’s about the Z06 GT3.R, a copy exclusively dedicated to competition, but that consumers will be able to obtain from 2024.

This Chevrolet Corvette was especially designed to race in GT3 events. It is therefore in no way approved for the road.

Based on the same architecture made of aluminum as a Corvette Z06, this racing car goes even further by incorporating adjustable aerodynamic downforce through a huge spoiler, side skirts and a front spoiler, not to mention the integration of active flaps that modify the lift effect depending on the speed at which the vehicle is traveling.

All GT3.Rs will receive the Z07 Performance Package as standard. This includes racing tires, carbon fiber rims and the spoiler in question. Chevrolet is also promising a car that is clearly lighter than a regular Z06, but has yet to confirm all the details.
