Chevy | More autonomy for the Silverado EV in 2025

Chevrolet has outlined the scope of changes for the 2025 model year of its electric Silverado pickup truck. For its second year of production, the model has a new mid-range livery and, above all, more kilometers in the bank.

Thus, an LT version will make its debut to bridge the gap between the entry-level WT and the RST which peaks at the top of the range. Just like the other liveries, it is equipped with two engines whose total power is close to 645 hp, or 115 hp less than the RST variant, but significantly more than the 510 hp of the WT.

The range is 645 km in the case of the Silverado EV LT. It can also tow up to 5,670 kg (12,500 lb), which is significantly higher than the towing capacity of the F-150 Lightning which is 4,536 kg (10,000 lb).

In addition to this addition, a new optional battery called “Max Range” is appearing to increase the autonomy of the WT and RST versions. This increases to 792 km and 740 km respectively, making this Silverado EV one of the electric vehicles with the greatest autonomy currently marketed in Canada. No technical details have been communicated about the capacity of this battery.

Chevrolet has not detailed the prices of these improvements, but specifies that the first examples of Silverado EV will arrive in Canadian dealerships by the end of the year.
