Byd | A recharging as fast as a full

The Chinese manufacturer byd lifted the veil last week on a brand new electrical architecture with the capacity, according to him, to recharge a battery as quickly as the time spent in a pump for a full of fuel.
Achieving an intensity of 1000 V, it can peak at a power of 1000 kW during recharge, which is much higher than the currently sold vehicles which cap at 350 kW. After Automotive Newsthis technology can technically store 470 km of autonomy in just five minutes.
This new technology will be assigned to several new models offered by byd, a brand that only sells hybrid and electric vehicles.
These promises undoubtedly make electroautomobilists dream, but Canadian charging infrastructures do not have the capacity to reach such power, which makes the feat technically impossible here. That said, this advance, if it is confirmed at the production stage, could force the hand to many manufacturers, which will undoubtedly increase the attraction of electricity, not without significant investments in the terminal networks.
