First images of the Volkswagen California concept, the future of plug-in hybrid camping

New California concept is based on a stretched version of the Volkswagen Multivan from 7e generation. Inside, the second image shows an iPad-like touch control panel that allows you to control a bit of everything on board, including the thermostat, lighting and a small refrigerator.
The same plug-in hybrid engine as the Multivan?
As for the motorization, we know that the Volkswagen Multivan currently houses the eHybrid PHEV powertrain consisting of a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine paired with an electric motor, all developing a total output of 215 horsepower. Autonomy in electric mode reaches about 50 kilometers. At this time, the automaker has not confirmed whether the California concept will use the same powertrain.
