Jaguar will drop its electric I-Pace in 2025

As the manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover is in the process of upgrading its image, starting with a new logo and a revamp of its range, its CEO, Adrian Mardell, announces the end of production of the Jaguar I-Pace, and this, at the beginning of 2025.

A transition to an electric-only brand

This news might seem strange, especially considering that Jaguar wants to become an all-electric brand by 2030. So why abandon the only electric model offered by the manufacturer? Well, it looks like the automaker will go with a whole new generation of electric vehicles, starting in 2025. The I-Pace will have allowed Jaguar to take a first step into the world of electric vehicles and fine-tune its next electric vehicles. By 1er half of 2025, the Jaguar I-Pace will be marketed worldwide, and its production, at the factory in Graz, Austria, will be without major changes. More details should be known in the coming months on this transition between the I-Pace and the new electric models that will take place at Jaguar.

A new picture

According to information obtained from various American media, the philosophy retained in terms of design should be different and unique on the new generation of electric vehicles from Jaguar. We start with a new architecture, the JEA, which will distinguish itself from the modular MLA platform that we will use for future electric Land Rover models, among others.

According to Adrian Mardell, there will be more emphasis on a design with what he describes as exuberant proportions as well as an elongated wheelbase on future electric products.

It will therefore be interesting to follow what the Jaguar Land Rover group will present as a range of new generation electric vehicles. It must be said that, so far, no new electric model has been presented, unlike the competition. The change of boss, at the end of 2022, within the British manufacturer, will undoubtedly bring certain changes in the guidelines of the company and the marketing of their new vehicles.
