Kia unveils EV6 pricing
Many new electric vehicles are expected for the current year. Just like Hyundai’s IONIQ 5, theEV6 of Kia will show a starting price of $44,995, which can go up to $54,995 if you choose the all-wheel-drive version with extended range. To this latest version you can add the GT-Line 1 package for a total of $57,995 or the GT-Line 2 package for a total price of $61,995. However, the prices revealed do not include transport and preparation costs. The high-performance GT version should arrive later this year. With a base version under the $45,000 mark, the EV6 will be eligible for government rebates of $8,000 provincially and $5,000 federally.
This means that from the base model with standard autonomy, you will have to pay an additional $8,000 to obtain an additional autonomy of 126 km, an amount to which you will have to add another $2,000 if you prefer all-wheel drive. to propulsion.

The South Korean manufacturer promises up to 499 km of autonomy for the extended range models equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery, otherwise you will have to settle for 373 km (for the base model with propulsion with a motor 125 kW rear) or 441 km (for the all-wheel drive model equipped with a 74 kW front engine and 165 kW rear).
Charging and recharging
Manufactured on Hyundai Motor Group’s electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV6 becomes Kia’s first vehicle to use it. Equipped with ultra-fast charging, the EV6 could recover up to 80% of its charge in less than 18 minutes when plugged into an 800V DC terminal, or see its range increased by 100 kilometers in less than five minutes. In addition, with optional V2L technology, the EV6 becomes a 1.9 kW power source that can supply electricity to electronic and electrical devices, or even an electric vehicle. Two battery options
Kia offers two lithium-ion battery choices for the EV6; one of 58.0 kWh that is found on board the rear-wheel-drive entry model, while the other versions are equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery. For those who wish to preserve their vehicle’s range on colder days, Kia offers an optional new-generation heat pump, exclusive to the Canadian market. Capable of recycling heat from the air, it also recovers that lost from the various electronic components.
As standard, Kia’s latest addition comes equipped with two 12.3-inch connected screens, seats covered with fabrics made from recycled materials and a range of 21 active driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Intelligent Remote Parking Assist (RSPA).
