Lotus | A first electric sedan

Lotus is continuing its electrification project by lifting the veil on its first electric sedan, the Emeya. Presented as the new standard-bearer of the small British manufacturer, it will focus on performance to compete with Tesla and Lucid.

This Emeya therefore thinks big, but is not currently supporting her argument with detailed technical data. However, we know that it will be able to achieve 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds thanks to its two electric motors which provide power and traction. Its electrical architecture will be able to support a maximum charging power of 350 kW, which would theoretically ensure a charging time of 18 minutes to go from 0 to 80%.

Under its rather consensual design, this Lotus promises a number of innovations. Its front grille, diffuser and rear spoiler will be able to continually adjust to generate aerodynamic downforce or reduce drag on demand.

Its chassis is also equipped with air springs capable of adjusting 1000 times per second.

Production of this Emeya will begin next year to complete the first electric offensive in Lotus history with the Eletre SUV.
