Mazda recalls just over 20,000 vehicles in Canada

The recalls affect all automakers. This time it’s the turn of Mazda recall some 20,762 cars and SUVs in Canada whose fuel pump could fail. The reminder has been updated earlier this week on the Transport Canada website.

Mazda Canada will therefore recall several recent vehicles. According to the recall, on certain vehicles, the fuel pump may fail. If this happens, then the engine could run erratically or not start, and the check engine light could come on. It could also cause a sudden loss of engine power while driving.

A sudden loss of engine power while driving could increase the risk of a collision.

According to our sources, in certain situations, the fuel pump impeller vanes could warp and cause an efficiency problem or rupture. The problem may also be more pronounced in areas where the outside temperature is higher.
