Mercedes-Benz announces pricing for EQE electric sedan

While the range of new electric vehicles from Mercedes Benz arrived first with the spectacular EQS, other models have arrived recently, or will land in the coming weeks. This is particularly the case of the EQE sedan, which takes place under the EQS in the manufacturer’s hierarchy. Mercedes-Benz Canada has announced pricing for all three versions of the EQE, and there’s likely something for everyone.

The entry-level version is the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC, offered at a price of $85,600, without transport and preparation. Given its position in the range, it is relatively bare compared to other versions. For example, its upholstery is made of fabric called MB-Tex, and its power reaches only 288 horsepower through two permanently excited electric motors, one on each axle. The torque is however noteworthy, since it reaches 564 lb-ft, according to the press release from Mercedes-Benz. Other standard features include 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, 12.8-inch infotainment system and 90 kilowatt-hour capacity battery.

For more performance, the buyer can also opt for the EQE 500 4MATIC version. With 402 horsepower and 633 lb-ft of torque, it will move more. The fabric upholstery is replaced by leather upholstery, while other equipment, such as the Mercedes-Benz “Hyperscreen” screen, is offered as an option. Its price climbs to $95,000, without transport and preparation. The autonomy of these two versions is not yet approved.

The Mercedes-AMG EQE 4MATIC+ version is the one that brings up the rear. With specific seats covered in imitation leather and microfiber, as well as a slightly more edgy style, it sets the tone for performance. Its power can reach, with the AMG PLUS dynamic package, 677 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. Here too, a few options are available to enhance the equipment, but the base price is $121,500, without transport and preparation. The autonomy of this version is calculated at 362 kilometers according to the parameters of Natural Resources Canada.

A la carte equipment

Although few details have been revealed about the on-board or optional equipment that these sedans will benefit from, the Mercedes-Benz website still gives some clues. Purchasing it will be able to opt for, among other things, air suspension, rear-wheel steering, active ambient lighting as well as several driver assistance devices. All this equipment is nevertheless optional, and we do not yet know their respective cost.

The first car to hit dealerships across Canada is the EQE 350, followed by the EQE 500. The first units will arrive in February. The 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE 4MATIC+ performance versions will arrive in summer 2023.
