Next stylish Kona unveiled
True to its positioning focused on the design of its models, Hyundai presented the new generation of its Kona subcompact SUV with a completely redesigned body. From the outset very interesting visually, it promises conventional gasoline, hybrid and electric mechanics to add strings to its bow.
Hyundai claims that the design of this Kona is largely inspired by its electric component. Its horizontal lines, which act as both front headlights and taillights, are rightly reminiscent of the Ioniq 7 style study, an electric midsize SUV. It also grows slightly, both in terms of wheelbase (60 mm) and its length (150 mm) and width (25 mm).
What is interesting in the information provided by Hyundai is above all the reverse technical approach that the Korean manufacturer applies in its case.
It is said that its platform was originally designed for an electric mandate and has been modified to accommodate combustion engines.
The electric livery thus promises to be more competent than the one it replaces. Alas, we have no figures to put in our mouths, about engines, whether gasoline, hybrid or electric.
The interior, for its part, seems largely inspired by that of the Ioniq 5 electric crossover with its horizontality and its split multimedia screen with digital instrumentation. There is also a flat floor in the rear, for passenger comfort.
However, we will have to wait a bit to analyze the technical data and get an idea of its marketing schedule.
