Prices for all variants of the 2025 Volvo EX30 are now known
Volvo has started releasing details about its upcoming entry-level electric vehicle, the Volvo EX30. After presenting it to us as its Canadian premiere in Montreal a few weeks ago, the manufacturer is now revealing the prices of all versions, a few weeks before giving all the details. We now know that all-wheel drive will not be available with the entry-level Pure version.
This basic Core version will therefore only be available with a single engine, in the rear-wheel drive versions. The initial price is $53,700, to which must be added the preparation transport costs, which are not known at the moment.
The Plus and Ultra versions will also be available, which arrive with more standard equipment. The Plus version will ask for a starting price of $56,900, an increase of $3200 over the base version. This upgrade comes with a better audio system, a panoramic glass roof and 19-inch wheels. Finally, the most equipped Ultra version asks for a price of $59,100 in its rear-wheel-drive configuration and adds semi-autonomous highway driving, the 360-degree camera and a parking assistance system.
Less than $60,000 for the complete
The absence of the Core version for the two-motor all-wheel drive configuration causes a substantial price difference between the initial price of the two engines. You would have to pay $59,900 (without freight and delivery charges) to obtain the Plus version with all-wheel drive, an increase of $6,200. However, at the same level of equipment, all-wheel drive requires an additional premium of $3,000, which remains acceptable considering the increased capacities, but also the greater power.
Note that the all-wheel drive vehicle will offer 422 horsepower in total. This significant power, combined with the relatively small size of the vehicle, will ensure sharp performance, as suggested by the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds. The rear-wheel drive versions will offer 268 horsepower and will therefore have a noticeably quieter temperament. Only one battery is available, regardless of the version, with a capacity of 69 kilowatt hours. The range will reach 442 kilometers, although it will undoubtedly be lower for certain versions depending on the equipment.
Arrival in summer
Volvo boasts that the EX30 is the vehicle with the lowest environmental impact in its entire range. It will arrive in the summer of 2024 as a 2025 model. By then, RPM will undoubtedly have had the opportunity to drive the vehicle.
