Ram unveils first teaser of upcoming new pickup truck

RAM presented a serious update of its van 1500 for 2025. The latter returns with aesthetic and motor modifications. Indeed, Ram has decided to abandon the engine V8 Hemi for 2025, which means the mighty supercharged TRX is doomed. The brand has, however, confirmed that the TRX will be replaced by the RHO (Ram High Output), and now Ram unveils a first teaser of a new pickup truck which seems to confirm its launch date.

Let’s be clear, this first video doesn’t reveal much about Ram’s potential future pickup truck. The latter immediately shows a Ram 2500 Rebel towing another van draped in camouflage.

A voice says “I hear the storm coming”, which undoubtedly refers to the inline 6-cylinder engine nicknamed Hurricane (hurricane) newly used in several Stellantis products, including the Grand Wagoneer. Ram had also already confirmed that the RHO would be equipped with the in-line 6-cylinder, and that the truck would develop a power of 540 horsepower.

The video continues, and on-screen text appears: “You won’t want to miss this delivery.” It ends with the most interesting information in the teaser, the date of April 25, which implies that the vehicle will be presented at that time.

In any case, there’s good reason to imagine that this is indeed RHO, given that this whole video has a sand and heat theme. Since the RHO is supposed to be the answer to the Ford F-150 Raptor, Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and Chevrolet Silverado ZR2, all designed for high-speed desert off-roading, it makes sense to believe in it.

Nothing confirms that it is officially the RHO behind the cover, perhaps this video is intended for the future Ram Rampage, the manufacturer’s next compact van, but let’s say that the atmosphere fits better with the RHO.

Expected for the 3rde quarter of 2024

Ram had already announced that the RHO would be offered from 3e quarter of this year as model year 2025. Besides the new name and new engine, the RHO is expected to share some elements of the TRX, such as a reinforced suspension, oversized tires and features specific to off-road driving.

No details have yet been given on this subject, but Ram should present various teasers before April 25 which will allow us to discover more about this pickup truck.
