Rolls-Royce | New sales record in 2023

(London) British luxury car maker Rolls-Royce enjoyed another year of “record” sales last year, and is pleased with the success of its Specter electric model, according to a press release on Monday.

A total of 6,032 models were delivered to customers last year, 11 more than in the previous twelve months, a record in its 119-year history, with global sales driven by North America and China.

Already in 2023, the manufacturer of the famous iconic British luxury cars had posted a historic sales peak.

Managing Director Chris Brownridge, who took over from Torsten Muller-Otvos, the latter having resigned at the end of November, looked forward to “another extraordinary year for Rolls-Royce”, with “strong sales in all regions “.

Rolls-Royce, acquired by BMW in 1998, also delivered its first Specter in the fourth quarter, the company's first all-electric model, which is part of the objective of manufacturing only electric vehicles by end of 2030.

“It is particularly encouraging to see the enormous interest and demand for Spectre, which reinforces the decision to adopt a bold, all-electric strategy” for the future of the group's models, he adds.

Some 180 jobs were created last year at the company's headquarters in Goodwood, in the south of England, bringing the site's total workforce to 2,500 people, the press release said.
