Subaru reveals pricing for the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness

Subaru Canada told us that the off-road-oriented Wilderness version would have a price similar to that of the Limited version. In fact, you will have to pay $1,000 more ($40,744) to reach the highest rung of the Crosstrek range. It costs $37,995 to which we add transportation and preparation costs as well as taxes on the air conditioner and tires; we then reach $40,744.

Here are the prices for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek

THE 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness is the most off-road capable Crosstrek ever. In addition to its two exclusive colors, geyser blue and alpine green, it offers an exterior presentation that is exclusive to it. Just like the Forester and Outback Wilderness, we are counting on the addition of gold accents to the bodywork, notably on the bumpers, in the doors and at the base of the roof rails. As the Crosstrek is a Subaru, the protective appliques are in the spotlight with a front part almost entirely covered in black plastic, just like the wheel arches and rocker panels. We add a decorative applique on the hood, LED fog lights and an exclusive layout of the grille.

In profile, we note the presence of 17-inch rims painted black with Yokohama GEOLANDER tires identified in white. These tires are designed to handle snow, gravel or mud conditions. To optimize the model’s off-road capabilities, the suspensions are raised by 15 millimeters, resulting in a ground clearance of 235 millimeters (9.25 inches), which is higher than almost any SUV on the market. The approach angle therefore increases from 18 to 20 degrees. For the starting one, we go from 30.1 to 33 degrees, while the ramp angle goes from 19.7 to 21.1 degrees. On the roof, the multi-anchored stringers now allow a load of up to 700 pounds.

In the cabin, you obviously get all the luxury features of the Limited version, including the 11.6-inch central screen. However, the seats are not covered in leather, but in gray fabric. The manufacturer claims that maintenance will be easier. Looking closer, we note the presence of Wilderness badges in the headrests. To make the link with the exterior accents, we notice the presence of gilding at the base of the steering wheel, the gear lever and the stitching.

In terms of mechanics, the engine chosen is the 2.5-liter BOXER flat-four with a power of 182 horsepower and a torque of 178 pound-feet. As always, this mechanism is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) whose reprogramming allows for more adequate behavior in off-road situations. In the same vein, the differential ratio is revised. Subaru announces a towing capacity of 1,588 kilos (3,500 pounds) with the Wilderness. We owe this capacity, among other things, to the integration of an engine oil radiator. As always, the gear train is constant mesh and can be modulated according to the chosen X-MODE programming.
