Tesla Cybertruck production preparations are progressing well
The popularity of electric pickup trucks is undeniable in North America. Automakers that have such a vehicle in their product line all have great difficulty meeting consumer demand. Waiting lists are overflowing, and prices are skyrocketing. Tesla intends to take a prominent place in the segment with the highly anticipated cybertruck, an electric van with an exploded design. After several years of announcements and rumors, Tesla is officially launching an offensive to prepare for the start of production of this already iconic juggernaut.
A stocked list of available jobs
It’s certain Tesla’s website, specifically in the career section, that the preparation offensive is evident. In this section, we discover that 26 positions are offered and target the Tesla Cybertruck. Of the 26, 23 of them are related to the manufacture of the electric van. All of these jobs are located at Tesla’s Giga-factory in Texas.
Clearly, the employees Tesla seeks will occupy varied and important positions in the manufacturing process. Equipment technician, senior engineer, production manager and robotics engineer positions are available. Does this finally announce the construction of the Cybertruck soon? According to Tesla Chairman and CEO Elon Musk, yes, the automaker could start manufacturing the electric pickup truck in the summer of 2023 for a spring 2024 launch. Cybertruck is partly explained by the vehicle’s stainless steel body. This material makes life hard for engineering teams who try somehow to incorporate this alloy to succeed in making a mass production line.
Also, Elon Musk specifies that the start of a production line is usually inefficient, and that the mass production of the electric van will take place in 2024. We should therefore not expect to see a massive arrival on the market of the Tesla Cybertruck automobile in the current year.
Tesla is hiring around the world
To make progress with Tesla’s job offers, the manufacturer has been in the real hiring process since the beginning of the year. In total, more than 29,000 jobs are offered in various business sectors around the world. In Canada, approximately 160 more employees are wanted by the company.
Admittedly, no official date has been announced for the launch of the electric juggernaut. Despite everything, we can still see the first images of the production Tesla Cybertruck. It will be necessary to remain on the lookout for the evolution of the preparations to learn more about the official launch date.
