The 2022 Lexus NX to be unveiled on June 11

Introduced in 2015, the Lexus NX quickly established a solid reputation in the subcompact luxury SUV segment. As proof, it slipped to second position due to its great reliability, placing itself between two German models in the category of the best luxury subcompact SUVs this year. But the model is starting to get old. However, Lexus will bring a host of new features to it next year. The 2022 version will be unveiled on June 11.

Very few technical details are currently available, but what we know from a reliable source is that the NX range of Lexus will be composed of new variations comprising the appellations NX250 and NX350, which suggests that new engines will be offered. And knowing the habits of Lexus, it is certain that a hybrid variant, sporting the letter h in its nomenclature, will be added to the range along the way.

In all likelihood, the NX250 could be powered by the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder as the RAV4. The NX350, meanwhile, could be powered by the manufacturer’s 3.5-liter V6.

This winter, screenshots that had leaked on the internet allowed us to get a glimpse of this new NX. It seems, in fact, to display a more sober and homogeneous design than its predecessor while remaining faithful to the character lines of the manufacturer. The NX also seems to have taken the trunk, which would allow it to better compete with its German competitors, more specifically the BMW X1, in terms of cargo space. Remember that the X1 is currently the most versatile in its category.
