The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC will be offered at a base price of $58,900
Since its presentation several months ago, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4MATIC is long overdue. It seems that the model will finally arrive in Canadian dealerships from June, the manufacturer has just revealed the prices. The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4MATIC will initially be offered in a single version, GLC 300 4MATIC. It will retail for a base price of $58,900, which is slightly higher than the 2022 model. However, Mercedes-Benz mentions that the equipment level of the 2023 model has been upgraded. Large screens, smartphone integration, wireless charging and heated front seats are now standard.
Various equipment packages are offered, including the Premium Package ($3,875), Extra Premium Package ($3,650), Smart Drive Package ($2,700), AMG Line (3 $400) and AMG Line with Night Package ($3,900).
A slightly larger vehicle
Like the C-Class before it, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4MATIC is getting a redesign this year that gives it a new style and a new interior. The exterior has been redesigned, but the vehicle has gained in size above all, it benefits from an increased length of 4,716 millimetres, while its width remains unchanged at 1,890 millimetres. It is however a little lower by 4 millimeters, which changes its proportions and, above all, its style.
All 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 4MATICs will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain based on a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. In the case of the GLC 300 livery, it is an integrated light hybridization based on 48-volt technology; the electric motor provides an additional 20 horsepower and produces 148 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain will be mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Later, the range will expand with the arrival of other plug-in hybrid variants; we will also be entitled to liveries AMG.
Techno interior
On board, we notice several components inspired by the C-Class, in particular the new round and flattened nozzles reminiscent of the nacelles of the engines of an aircraft. There are two high-definition LCD screens, one 11.9 inches (30.2 centimeters) placed in front of the driver who presents the instrumentation, the other 12.3 inches (31.2 centimeters) for the infotainment and seems to float freely in the center. The vehicle also features the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system.
The new GLC was also designed for off-road driving, it benefits from several systems that improve its presence off the beaten track, in particular an off-road driving mode as well as the regulation of the speed in descent (DSR).
Conclusion
The Mercedes-Benz GLC remains an important vehicle for the brand, it is, since its arrival and the loss of interest of buyers in the cars, one of the best sellers at Mercedes-Benz. It is not surprising to note that the manufacturer will go all out to ensure its success.
