Last of the big three manufacturers to embark on the electric adventure with its range of full-size pickup trucks, Ram will finally unveil its 1500 electric next January.
As with the Chevrolet Silverado EV at the start of 2022, the launch will take place at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The event, which was previously reserved for the big names in the world of technology, now attracts a number of manufacturers looking to exhibit their latest technologies. A sign that the automobile is seeking to become an extension of your electronic devices.
Ram said the electric 1500, which it calls the 1500 Revolution, is scheduled to go on sale in 2024, the same year as the recently unveiled electric GMC Sierra. It is estimated that its autonomy could exceed 800 km, a data presumably associated with large battery liveries.
The brand had announced earlier this year the launch of a collaborative platform to help it in the development of the van. It will be interesting to see how this approach translates tangibly into the features of the production model.
