The Nissan Rogue is downright the bread and butter of the manufacturer. It is therefore not surprising that it receives modifications only three years after the arrival on the market of the third generation, in 2021. On the menu for 2024, retouches at the front and rear, but above all a cabin which now includes a 12.3-inch central screen, which corrects one of the main shortcomings of the 2023 model.
But beware! This new 12.3-inch screen is only offered on the SL and Platinum versions, the most equipped in the Rogue range. Google services are integrated, a first for the manufacturer, which allows drivers to use Google Maps, Google Calender and other similar features, many of which are accessible via the Google Play store.
For people who prefer Apple CarPlay, or the Android Auto interface, they are still available with wireless connection. The induction charger is available for certain versions, while USB-C sockets are standard on board the vehicle. In addition, the trial period of the services NissanConnect which allows owners of SV versions or higher to have access to certain features on their smartphone such as remote start, which goes from 6 months to three years.
The S and SV versions, however, continue to use the 8-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, with Nissan operating system. However, for all trim levels, including the base S, the 1.5-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine is standard. This engine, introduced for the 2022 model year, was only reserved for the SV versions and more previously equipped, but for 2024, it sounds the death knell for the 2.5 engine which fitted the S versions. It is still paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission, which transmits 201 horsepower to all four wheels for all versions.
Redesigned style
While other models in the range had begun to incorporate the reinterpreted grille V-Motion, the Snape still had not received it. This is now done for 2024, while the front of the vehicle is revised. Same thing for the rear which receives some design adjustments. The wheels have also been revised, now more closely resembling those of a 2023 Nissan LEAF.
In terms of style, new colors are offered. The black roof option is still available, to enhance the style. For 2024, the Platinum versions receive, like the Toyota RAV4 Prime and Mazda CX-5 Sport Design, glossy black rocker panels, to improve the impression of luxury.
