Toyota introduces the 2023 25th Anniversary Sienna
To mark the 25th anniversary of his van, Toyota presents the Sienna 25th Anniversary 2023, a limited edition that will be released later this summer. This special livery is based on the XSE all-wheel drive version and it will benefit from a slightly higher level of equipment.
Introduced in 1998, the Toyota Sienna has now been marketed in its fourth generation since 2021, the Japanese manufacturer’s minivan has sold more than 300,000 copies in the country since its arrival.
The Toyota Sienna has distinguished itself over the years by offering a hybrid engine and above all, an all-wheel drive offered as an option, an advantage over many rivals. It currently remains the only AWD minivan sold in Canada.
Still marketed in LE, XLE, XSE and Limited versions with seven or eight passengers, the 2023 Toyota Sienna will benefit from an additional livery this year, the 25th Anniversary Edition. The latter will underline the model’s history with a few additions making it a little more exclusive.
Toyota used the sporty XSE version as a base and then added some equipment normally offered only on board the Limited version, in particular ventilated and heated black leather seats as well as retractable mirrors. The cabin benefits from carpets bearing the 25th anniversary emblem, as does the smart key box.
The model also has unique interior and exterior trim, while two body color choices are offered, Celestial Silver Metallic and Wind Cheal Pearl. A blacked out theme for the mirrors, emblems and shark’s wing antenna completes the exterior treatment.
No mechanical change, but a sports suspension
Like the other versions, the model has a hybrid mechanism consisting of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine developing 189 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, an electric motor pushing total power to 245 horsepower and the 263 lb-ft of torque. The average consumption of the set is 6.7 L/100 km. Like all Toyota Sienna XSE AWD, the model has a sports suspension oriented a little more on handling than comfort.
Pricing for the 25th Anniversary Toyota Sienna will be revealed later this summer.
