Can you lock your keys in a 2018 toyota camry?

We have two Toyotas and Toyota has designed them so it is physically impossible to lock the key-fob in the car. Our Toyotas won’t lock if: The key is in the ignition. Or if you unlock the car and open a door then shut the door.
